Spring Season Starts for Pump-N-Run

Dozens of California’s top travel teams flocked to Garden Grove last weekend to face off at the SoCal Hoop Review Tournament, including both Pump-N-Run Elite 16U and 17U teams and the Double Pump Elite 17U team.

The 16U team, led by coaches Kevin Mckloskey and Ryan Forhan-Kelly, finished 2-0, with players Kendall Stubblefield and Sava Dukic demonstrating first-rate skills on the court.

Coaches Kris Johnson and Jelani McCoy’s Pump-N-Run Elite 17U team played four close games and finished the tournament with 1-3, securing their only win against Inland Elite. Despite their losses, players Chris Simmons (5-10, PG, 2017, Inglewood HS ) and Jordan Guest (6-7, PF, 2018, Santa Margarita HS) had high-performance games.

The Double Pump Elite 17U team played exceptionally well, winning all four of their games and beating the Big Ballers. Jaquan Lightfoot (6-7, F, 2016, Taft HS) and Travis Patrick (6-8, F 2016, Taft HS) stood out most with their notable A-game.

Now the Pump-N-Run teams are ready as they enter the NCAA Live period. They’ll compete at the Double Pump Spring Hoop Fest at the American Sports Centers in Anaheim, CA (April 15-17, 2016) and the West Coast Elite Spring Classic in Las Vegas (April 22-24, 2016).
